Amador Cruise Ship Terminal
For several years now, Panama's Department of Tourism, through different collaborations and projects, has been maximizing the country's conversion into a recognized tourist destination. As part of this plan, the Tocumen Airport was expanded, opening a new terminal, and since 2017, it has also been working intensively on the New Cruise Ship Terminal on the Causeway.
The project that will bring cruise ships from around the world to Panama City
The new Fort Amador cruise ship terminal will consist of two terminals strategically located on the Causeway, very close to the city center.
Since the beginning of the works, Grúas Orión has been working intensively on the project and has been in charge of lifting the spatial structures, among others. By 2023, the Amador Cruise Ship Terminal will be operational and ready to receive cruise ships from all over the world in Panama City..
For this project, we're working with two PK44 cranes that make it possible to do this type of lifting safely and efficiently.
The Panama Maritime Authority (AMP) has awarded the Consorcio Cruceros del Pacífico, formed by Jan De Nul Panamá SA and CHECthe contract to design and build the Amador cruise ship terminal, and together with Onddi Ingenieria called on Grúas Orión, as a leading company in crane rental in Panama to help them with the challenge of building this terminal that will be very important for the city.
